I've been working on trying to organize and plan out my days a little more. I'm working full time for TACF as well as random web projects for other clients. So a little while ago I decided it was time to start managing and organizing my time and projects a little more. A friend pointed me in the direction of Collabtive Project Management. It is an open source project written in PHP that does everything I wanted! I needed something simple and easy to use. The GUI is amazing! I love how its layed out and I've really noticed a big improvement in productivity.

Some of the features that I really like are...

• Multiple projects which you can add a task list to and then individual tasks.
• Multiple users - admin, user (assigned to certain projects) or client (can only view status of projects)
• Time tracking. You can add hours to individual tasks and then view all hours per project (or task list) ((or after a certain date!)). You can also export this info to excel or pdf... very nice!!
• Upload files and attach to project.
• Basecamp import.

Unfortunately it was a little awkward to get up and running. It is a web app, which is perfect for me as I work on about 3 different computers... but that does mean for the average computer user its not very easy to set up. However, I would honestly recommend it to anyone.... and if you want it contact me about setting up a "hosted solution" for a reasonable price. Basically, I'll set it up and host it and (for a small contribution towards hosting costs) you can just use it!
