It's been quite an incredible year...

• I made a LOT of websites
• I've gotten married
• I bought a car
• I became a permanent resident of Canada
• I learn a lot of XHTML/CSS/PHP/jQuery (thanks google)
• I had a sweet vacation in south of France
• I learnt a lot about making nice user experiences
• Got on the first page of Google for many keywords
• Built several really useful web apps from scratch

and finally...

• I quit my job and started my own company

I'm really excited to say that I am now working for myself full time doing the things that I love doing. My company is called BEACON9 Media and it's been really fun building a brand and finding customers.

How ever... it does mean that jackread.co.uk is no longer a big priority for me. 'd like to announce that early next year jackread.co.uk will be closing. I am in the midst of building my new site (check out progress at http://beacon9.ca) where I will transfer all my scripts and blogs (maybe just the popular ones) and carry on 'doing my thing' from over there.
