SpiritLedMusic.com is an artist site for the christian singer/songwriter Nicole Smith. Jack was overseeing and actively involved in all aspects of the project from start to finish.

The goal of this site was to provide a place for fans of Nicole to be able to preview and purchase her music as well as find out information on events and interact with Nicole through the blog.

Feature Highlights

Site Design - Nicole was keen on having a colorful design that would work well with any album artwork that was added to the site and would still look good in years to come. Jack sourced out the graphic design work to a friend and worked very closely with him to produce something they were all very happy with.

Simple Events Management - The beauty of this site is in its simplicity. Jack worked on developing an extremely simple events package (using contributed modules) that would be more light weight and easier to manage than a full events and calendar module. It provides more flexibility as to how events can be displayed and "does the job" using modules that were already installed on the site.

CD and MP3 Store - This was one of the main features of the site. Jack worked hard to build a store, using contributed modules, that could handle "shippable" and "file" products and payments could be made into a free paypal account.

When purchasing an MP3 the site auto-creates a user account for the customer... then they can log into the site after purchase and download the songs up to 5 times each. This system works well in this situation and is very user friendly.

Track Previews - It was important to Nicole that the user was able to preview the tracks before downloading or purchasing. Using contributed modules we were able to attach multiple snippets of Nicole's music to each product. This worked well and is a great marketing tool for the artist... what better way to sell your music than for customers to be able to hear some for themselves?
